I know I join the entire city of Boston and the nation in saying that I am terribly saddened, shocked and disgusted by the events of the Boston Marathon yesterday. It is so shocking to not only see this happen to the city I live in, but to deal with yet
another act of violence and terror. The chaos that happened yesterday eerily gave me the same feelings I experienced on September 11th: not knowing what to expect next, trying to account for all my friends and loved ones in the city and pure horror. It is truly a nauseating feeling to know that such a joyous and empowering occasion was destroyed by pure hate and violence.
On a more positive note, I am literally beyond words in regards to all the acts of heroism, bravery and courage that was exhibited by all of the medical personnel, police officers, special forces and marathon spectators. This is what makes me so proud to be a Bostonian.
I plan on doing what I can to help by donating blood and encourage everyone to check-out American Red Cross locations where they can help out. Find information here:

My endless love and support goes out to everyone who was affected, big or small, or to those who even had a few seconds of panic and worry. Life is precious and I think we will all be reminded of that over the next few days.
